About Us

Hi, I’m Aaron — and my story with custom apparel goes all the way back to my teenage years. I was just a kid who loved music, lived in t-shirts, and couldn’t resist the idea of putting my own designs on fabric. What started with screen printing shirts for my rock band and a few other local acts slowly evolved into a passion for graphic design — and eventually, a career.

Fast forward a few years, I traded in the drums and guitar picks for a full-time job in graphic design, but I never lost that love for creating wearable art. Though I stopped printing shirts myself, I still kept the dream alive by having custom designs made through friends. The itch never went away — I just needed the right moment to scratch it.

The Comeback: A New Way to Print

Fifteen years later, I discovered a game-changer: Direct to Film (DTF) printing. Unlike the old-school screen-printing hustle, DTF offered crisp, vibrant prints with far less mess and far more flexibility — perfect for someone who wanted to create high-quality apparel without setting up a full-blown factory in their garage.

I dove in. I spent the next couple of years learning, tweaking, and perfecting the craft until I was confident I could offer something special — not just for fun anymore, but for real.

Turning Passion Into a Purpose

In 2025, my wife and I decided to take the leap and turn my long-time hobby into a full-fledged business: Lakeshore Shirts. With four kids at home and a need for more flexibility, it made perfect sense for us to build something we could run as a family — something that could grow with us and serve our community at the same time.

My wife brings the organization, heart, and hustle. I bring the creativity, design, and technical know-how. Together, we’re tag-teaming this business to not just support our family, but to build something meaningful — and maybe teach our kids a thing or two about hard work, entrepreneurship, and pride in doing something well.
